Dog Behavior Services & Consultations
Help for the Dog You’re Actually Living With.
Aggression. Anxiety. Reactivity. Fear. Household conflict. Or a dog who simply is not responding the way you expected.
I’m Dana Brigman, a canine behavior specialist, canine nutritionist and holistic pet health coach. My work starts with understanding what is happening, what may be driving it, what you have already tried, and what kind of support actually makes sense for your dog and your household.
Sometimes that means behavior work. Sometimes it means changing how you manage the situation. Sometimes we need to look at stress, nutrition, pain, lifestyle or physical wellness too. I am much more interested in finding the right next step than selling every dog the same training package.
Choose the Kind of Help You Need.
You do not need to diagnose your own dog or decide which “program” you need before contacting me. These are simply the three most common ways people find their way here.
Behavior Evaluation
Start here for aggression, biting, anxiety, fear, trauma, reactivity, household conflict or behavior that feels unsafe, confusing or increasingly difficult to manage.
Online Behavior Consultation
Video, history and a good conversation can tell us a lot. I work with pet parents nationwide through Zoom for behavior assessment, troubleshooting and practical next-step planning.
Guides & How-To Help
House training, puppies, crates, recall, introductions, barking, impulse control and other everyday dog problems may not require private consulting at all. Start with the resources already here.
Behavior Is Rarely One-Size-Fits-All.
These are some of the situations I evaluate and help pet parents think through. You do not need your dog to fit neatly into one label.

I would rather you understand the service first and look at the investment second. Open any section below for what is included, who it is for and current pricing.
Behavior Evaluation & Initial Consultation
Local, in-person starting point for aggression, anxiety,
trauma, reactivity and complex behavior
$250
All significant aggression, anxiety, trauma and complex behavior cases should begin with an evaluation rather than jumping straight into a predetermined training package.
I want to see the dog, hear the history, understand what has already happened and look at the household dynamics and patterns surrounding the behavior.
This may include:
- Behavior history and trigger review
- Working observation and evaluation
- Household and management assessment
- Discussion of safety and immediate priorities
- Nutrition and wellness considerations when relevant
- Practical next-step recommendations
- Follow-up summary and relevant resources
- Phone/email clarification support for up to two weeks
What happens afterward?
You may leave with changes you can implement yourself, a recommendation for continued behavior support, wellness considerations, additional resources, or a referral when another professional belongs on the team.
Online Behavior Consultation
Behavior assessment and troubleshooting through Zoom,
video review and history
$250
You do not have to live in North Myrtle Beach for me to help you understand what is happening with your dog.
Online consulting works especially well when we can review history, household patterns and video of the behavior without putting the dog through another stressful situation just so I can see it in person.
Best for:
- Anxiety and fear
- Leash reactivity
- Household behavior problems
- Dog-to-dog dynamics
- Over-arousal and difficulty settling
- Behavior troubleshooting
- Behavior with possible wellness components
- Pet parents outside my local service area
What is included:
- Comprehensive two-hour Zoom consultation
- History and behavior review
- Video review when available
- Practical recommendations and next steps
- Relevant educational resources
- Recommendations for additional support when needed
Continued Behavior Support
When an evaluation shows that your dog needs more than
one consultation
Custom
I no longer put every dog into a standard six-week training package. Some dogs need ongoing coaching. Some need one or two focused follow-ups. Some need behavior work combined with changes in management, lifestyle or wellness.
If continued support makes sense after your evaluation, I will explain what I recommend and why.
Continued support may include:
- Follow-up consultations
- Video review
- Behavior coaching
- Management and household strategy
- Practical skill work where appropriate
- Progress review and plan adjustments
- Coordination with wellness support when relevant
Inquiry Call
Not sure whether I am the right fit? Start with the questionnaire.
No Cost
I know you may have questions before scheduling a behavior evaluation or consultation.
Complete the questionnaire and give me enough information to understand what is going on. I can then determine whether your dog sounds like a good fit for my work and help point you toward the most appropriate next step.
An inquiry call is not a behavior consultation or an opportunity to troubleshoot the entire case by phone. It is simply a way for us to determine where you should begin.
Sometimes You Just Need the Right How-To.
I have spent years building practical content for the common problems pet parents deal with every day. Use it.

If your dog’s behavior is happening alongside digestive problems, allergies, chronic inflammation, pain, aging, medication changes, poor sleep or other physical concerns, I may recommend looking more closely at the wellness side of the picture.
That work lives primarily through The WellOiled K9, where I provide canine nutrition and holistic pet health coaching.
Before You Ask…
Do you still offer regular obedience training packages?
No. I no longer offer traditional weekly obedience packages as a stand-alone service. I still use training skills when they are appropriate within behavior work, and the site contains extensive how-to resources for everyday obedience and household skills.
Do you still offer off-leash training?
Not as a private training program. Recall, impulse control and reliability are still important skills, and you will find educational resources for them throughout the site.
Do you still train service dogs?
I no longer provide service-dog training. My current work with service and working dogs is increasingly focused on longevity, mobility, wellness, healthy aging and retirement support.
Can you help with aggression or biting?
Yes. Aggression and bite-risk cases begin with an evaluation so I can understand the history, triggers, household dynamics, safety concerns and whether additional professionals should be involved.
Can behavior consultations really work online?
Yes. Video, a thorough history and careful discussion often give us more useful information than intentionally placing a dog into a stressful situation just so I can witness the behavior. Online consultations are available nationwide.
What if I’m not sure whether this is behavior or health?
That overlap is one of the reasons my work has evolved. Start by telling me what you are seeing. If the case belongs more heavily in canine nutrition or holistic health coaching, I can guide you toward The WellOiled K9 instead.
You Don’t Have to Pick the Service First.
Tell me what is happening with your dog. I’ll look at the situation and help you figure out whether the next step is an evaluation, online consultation, a resource you can use yourself, wellness support or something else entirely.
Pricing is subject to change without notice. Travel fees may apply for in-person appointments outside the standard local service area. Additional fees may apply when multiple dogs require individual assessment or significant additional review.
Behavior consulting and holistic pet health coaching are educational and supportive. They do not replace veterinary diagnosis, treatment, prescriptions, emergency care or medical advice. If your dog is in distress or there is an immediate safety concern, contact the appropriate veterinarian, emergency clinic or local professional.
