Abuse At The Dog Groomer

Yes, the outrage. It should never ever happen. We want the person fired and the store or shop ripped to shreds in social media. Hundreds of people are angry and outraged for days. Nasty reviews are written. Calls for boycotts … until you need something that store sells at lesser cost.

We humans spend exorbitant energy in emotional distress and anger… but not much changes. Especially when it’s a mega retailer brand.

You will fret about this experience for years to come. You will continue sharing the negative experience with your dog (emotionally) every time you have grooming in the future… especially the first time you go again). Let it go. Do you research first about the groomer… unfortunately at the mega retailer you won’t have a relationship with the human. They may even rotate through staff like crazy.

But here’s my real point

WHAT ABOUT THE DOG?

What do we do for the dog after such an experience?

We tend to hope and pray he’s going to be ok.

Most will be fine. But will likely be terrified of any similar experience.

When a dog goes through trauma of any kind. We need to do some things that help change the imprint. Essential oils. Homeopathy, energy work and some behavioral exercises to reset trust, the environment, the expectations ect

This need to happen a lot more than it does to day. And day 1 is the day to begin working through mistreatment.

Love and hope alone seldom create the change needed.

Look into essential oils, Reiki, Raindrop, Animal Communication to help your dog heat and move through the experience. Help them have better experiences next time.
